Lost Bike

I started this little painting a week ago, sketching in the bike, drawn by it’s linear quality. I do love to draw and don’t practice enough.

Today I began painting the background, pretty much ignoring the bike, as if it were a landscape. And the result is appropriate in that the bike is becoming more like a relic, a piece of garden art.

I don’t know if I will do anything more.

  1. I could read your blogs all day! (in addition to going through your archives here, I just read the best description of soil fertility I have ever seen on the Oakhill Farmer site). You both have so much to share with the world – and you are!!! It is such a pleasure to know you. Thank you for a lovely time yesterday and delicious meal. 🙂
